Pretty things

It's been over 2 weeks since I had Mazy's wolf teeth pulled. She's had plenty of time to heal and while I would like to get back on her and start working her again, its been raining and the arena is a slippery, sloppy mess. She had been turned out a few times in there and has a great time running around playing, but I won't be riding her in there until it dries out and the ground firms up.

In the meantime I have been busy making jumps. All the pretty jumps, standards, poles and flower boxes. To date I have 4 single rail jumps, with flower boxes and 3 complete cross rail jumps. I am also working on making a few jumps with gates and wing standards.

The 4 rails propped up on flower boxes after being caulked, sanded and the first coat of primer to seal them.

Flower boxes worked great to hold them up for painting.

My 4 standards in the painting process. Photo bombed by the dog of course.

This one I call my jailbird jump because of the black and white stripes. Lol I supposed I could also call it the Checkered Flag or Finish Line jump.

This is the Christmas or Candy Cane jump with poinsettia flowers. Change them out for roses and it could be a Valentine jump.

This one was just the Blue jump until just now when I thought of calling it the Bluebird of Happiness jump.

And then there's my Purple Passion jump, which has another one just like it only in green that I didn't get a pic of but I call it the Green with Envy jump. I found all my flowers at the $1 store so they are inexpensive to swap out or replace altogether.

So there you have it. While I haven't been riding, I have still been quite busy getting ready for something else when I can get back in the saddle. There's always so much to do.
